What are your goals for your projects and programs?
How do you decide which projects and programs make sense for your mission and resources? How do you decide if each program is doing what it needs to do? How do you grow your programs to better serve your community, or develop new programs to respond to emergent needs? How do you develop coherent, responsive projects?
To do this work well, you need to know how to evaluate the impact of your programs and discover the needs of your community. You need to know how to design robust projects that iterate and scale. You need to be conversant in budget proposals, one-pagers, and logistics. You need to translate effectively between high-level strategy and on-the-ground logistics. Each program needs its own care, and your portfolio of programs needs collective care.
You already know how to do some of this, but you could be more effective. You need professional growth.
Virtual workshop series
Research is a human endeavor, and humans learn best from other humans. In these intimate, focused workshops:
- We focus on your needs and growth, so that you can build your skills to better serve your institution’s mission and progress in your career.
- We ground our work in yours: improving the projects and programs that are already part of your portfolio.
- We build community capacity: enrollment is capped at 6 participants so that everyone can meaningfully contribute.
- We meet virtually for four weeks: these workshop series are for working professionals to engage in this work adjacent to their day jobs.
My workshops are interactive, high-energy, and dynamic. Be prepared to work. I promise you’ll practice new skills and push your projects forward.
What you get
Each series is composed of four workshops. Each workshop is 90 minutes. In each workshop, you’ll do a blend of activities to learn a topic, practice with your own programs, and get nuanced feedback from the workshop leader and participants.
Your homework for each workshop will prepare you to articulate and enact the changes you want to see in your programs. You will receive a focused workbook and resource guides to shape your thoughts.
In addition to our collective time together, your workshop registration includes a 1:1 design consult before the series so that you can get the most out of your enrollment, and a second 1:1 design consult afterwards to help you with the intricacies of enacting your plan. Participants are invited to weekly office hours during the workshop.
